A busy week
Today is Friday...wow...time passes really fast.Finally the weekwnd is coming.I had Chemistry quiz on Monday,and Physics mid term exam on Wednesday.At least, the economy exam on Thursday evening. I just came back from the Chemistry lab. My partner and I had a sucessful result of the experiment. We got 100 grade on it.Cheers!!!Owing to that, I felt very exciting this morning and hope my happiness will continue for the whole day today.
I'm going to have fun with my best friend in high school tomorrow in Taipei.We are going to have a great dinner, and we'll go shopping after dinner.I'm waiting for tomorrow's date. Haha~

Qualities of a Good Paramedic

Essay
People in Taiwan love to become a paramedic since they have higher salary than other occupations. But is everyone suitable for working in the hospitals or clinics everyday and facing people who are sick? Being a good paramedic needs several qualities which include patience, carefulness, optimistic, talkativeness, and most basically, medical knowledge.
When facing patients, paramedics need to have patient first. Most people who come to the hospitals to ask for help don’t have any knowledge of medicine. It is normal that they are curious and want to know everything. When explaining to them, paramedics not only need to be patient but also use medical proper nouns as less as possible.
Second, since they are treating humans rather than non-living things, they should be careful and consider clearly before making any decisions or moves. Making a small mistake can cause serious damages. For example, a pharmacist gives the wrong medicine to the patient and the patient past away after taking the medicine.
Third, they need to be optimistic. Working in a place that faces illness people everyday might make them feel depressed and hopeless. One way to cheer them up is being optimistic. Take everyday as a new challenge, and believe that It will be a great day today. Gives hope to not only themselves but also people around them.
Being a paramedic, they might meet different kinds of people everyday. A good communication skill is needed. For example, a child is having physical therapy three times a week. If the therapist is talkative and funny, the child would be excited about having the treatment every time. But if the therapists seldom smile, don’t like to talk and always pull a long faces, the child would feel bored and wouldn’t like having the treatment.
The last quality of being a good paramedic is also the most important one, the basic medical knowledge. Since becoming a paramedic, most people pass through the training at medical school. Certainly, the things that schools teach are mostly about medical knowledge. Without basic medical knowledge, paramedics couldn’t cure illness people.
Getting into medical school in Taiwan is a hard task, and becoming a good paramedic is much harder. But if they have the heart of being a good paramedic, and with all these qualities, their confidence will be built up, and the patients will be willing to trust them.

C O L D
Last week was sooooooooo cold. I used to live in the southern part of Taiwan, and the lowest temperature of my hometown was about 17 Celsius. Joe told me that the lowest temperature last week was only 13 to 14 Celsius and it will go lower when the winter is here. I can't believe it!!! I don't think I can live here through this winter. The coldest day of last week was Wednesday, according to my own opinion(haha). I didn't want to move. Usually, I would go to the library to study, but not last week, cause it was cold outside. I just wanted to stay in my dorm.The weather got warmer yesterday, but the weather boardcast say it will be cold again on 12/27.....hope I can get through it.

Though I haven't seen this movie, I love its melody and lyrics.
